GIS lab Inauguration Ceremony at Ministry of Communication (MoC)(report)
On 1st May 2006 at 10:00hrs jointly Afghanistan Information Management Service (AIMS) and Ministry of Communication (MoC0 inaugurated for the first time GIS Unit. The ceremony was based on AIMS capacity project and focused on joint collaboration connecting AIMS and MoC in the field GIS, MIS, Basic English/Computer and software development of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. AIMS term of office is specifically to build information management capacity, providing equipments, training and advisory support with the vital goal of establishing GIS lab and Management Information Service (MIS) units in the Government of Afghanistan. The Minister for Communication and other senior level staff for ministry participated in the ceremony.
