GIS lab Inauguration Ceremony at Kabul University (KU)(report)

On 25th May 2006 at 10:00hrs GIS Unit for Kabul University (Faculty of Geosciences inauguration ceremony took place organized by together Afghanistan Information Management Service (AIMS) and Kabul University (Faculty of Geosciences). The ceremony was based on AIMS capacity building project and focused on joint partnership connecting AIMS and KU. AIMS mandate is to build information management capacity, providing equipments, training and advisory support with the vital goal of establishing GIS lab and Management Information Service (MIS) units in the Government of Afghanistan. AIMS is also most focus to build University professors in the GIS, and MIS.
