Geocodes & Settlements Database for Afghanistan [1 Documents] [(Maps & Data)] Geocode maintenance & dissemination: AIMS has recently up-date the Geocode created by the PROMIS project, collating all the available populated places records collected so far. The attached zip files are providing Geocode aggregated by Region, according to the administrative division into 32 Provinces. The 29 Provinces list has also been produced, and it is available on request. Once the files are de-compressed, you will need Acrobat Reader to read and print them. AIMS is to be the focal point for Geocode updating, in order to avoid proliferation of parallel lists that will spoil the capacity to easy exchange data.
