AIMS has opened its sixth regional office in Takhar province

AIMS has opened a small branch office in Taluqan city, Takhar Province. It will be supporting government departments, UN agencies, and NGOs in terms of provision of information management services with the close assistance of AIMS Kunduz regional office.The new AIMS office, located on Bandari Khanabad, Taluqan city, is attached to the Veterinary Department of Takhar.
Mr. Hadi Nabil (pictured) has been recruited as a new staff member of AIMS to run the Takhar AIMS sub office.

PIMSS pilot project first phase has been started in Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province

AIMS Kabul and Regional team members had a series of meetings with the Governor's Office, IDLG, Department of Economy, Central Statistics Office, PRT, TF and other key players such as DAI/LGCD who are supporting these government departments and assisting them in governance and capacity building.

Provincial Infrastructure Management Support System (PIMSS) project was introduced to all the stakeholders, who were briefed over its implementation plan and benefits to the governor, government departments and other development actors in the region. PIMSS will enable the Governor and the relevant government departments to see a current picture of ongoing infrastructural development projects and activities, and conduct monitoring and evaluation on a regular basis through the use of new high technology.

GRM International requested the geospatial department for a physical map of Afghanistan showing the central and north east provinces. The geospatial department successfully developed the requested map.

Updating Afghanistan Road Map
Geospatial department is currently updating Afghanistan road data from the Russian Topographic Maps (1:50,000 scale).

Geospatial department is currently updating Afghanistan river data from the Russian Topographic Maps (1:50,000 scale).


GTZ Map
GTZ requested the geospatial department for a Kufab district map of Badakhshan. The geospatial department successfully developed the requested map.

GLOBAL Map
GLOBAL requested the geospatial department for a physical map with grid lines. The geospatial department successfully developed the requested map.
