PMO Administration

The PMO Administration features of Processes on Demand enable project organizations of all shapes and sizes to rapidly set up and easily maintain their PMO content assets such as policies and dashboards, project management processes and templates, and integration to and use of PPM applications and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint (or equivalents).

Traditional Approaches to PMO Content Assets

Many vendors provide project management methodologies and template toolkits that are sold as-is leaving the PMO with the bothersome task of manually editing and re-formatting the methodology content and documents in order to be usable as well as meet the internal document standards of the company. Other vendors imbed their methodology content and templates into their own proprietary content management tool requiring the PMO to install and learn a new content management tool that, almost always, would duplicate and be redundant to already existing tools such as SharePoint or Lotus, as well as, require the PMO to purchase per user licenses for all those that may regularly or occasionally wish to access the methodology content.

The Processes on Demand Approach to PMO Content Assets

With Processes on Demand, the PMO Administration features simplify, organize, and automate the initial customization and on-going maintenance effort. This enables the PMO to quickly and easily re-brand and format Processes On Demand according to internal document and content standards, work with, instead of duplicate, existing content and document management tools, and to provide browser based access to the constituents of the PMO without the cost and complexity of per user licensing or implementation of new tools.
